About UsASSE is the world's oldest and largest professional safety organization. ASSE fosters the development of technical, scientific, managerial and ethical knowledge and competency of safety, health and environmental professionals. We use these skills for the protection of people, property and the environment. A key mission of the Society is to advance the status and promote the advancement of the safety profession. The Badgerland Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) was chartered in 1995 and has over 100 members. Our geographical boundaries are southern Wisconsin from LaCrosse to Watertown. Badgerland Chapter typically meets monthly on Thursday evenings at a restaurant in Madison. We have a little bit of social time, then dinner, and a speaker. We take a break during the summer months, and start off our year with a golf outing. We finish off the year with a membership appreciation night, with a complimentary dinner and lots of prizes. University of Wisconsin - Platteville Student Chapter is affiliated with the Badgerland Chapter. Chapter Charter The Badgerland Chapter is a local constituent of the national Society, and as such must meet certain minimum requirements of ASSE to maintain our Chapter Charter:
